4 Fun Ways To Get Out and Enjoy Highlands Ranch

If you’re looking for apartments in Highlands Ranch, chances are you’re also looking for fun activities in the area. After all, choosing a place to live means choosing a community as well. Luckily, the Highlands Ranch area is full of opportunities for food, fun, and fresh air. Here are our favorite local attractions you can enjoy as a resident of Legacy at Highlands Ranch

Grist Brewing Company

Grist Brewing Company is a Highlands Ranch staple known for its delicious craft beer and food truck offerings. It’s the perfect place for casual happy hours, special events, and everything in between. Stop by and sample one of their signature brews, like the tropical and fruity Tragic Hipster or the sweet and well-rounded Crimson Crow, or ask the bartender what seasonal flavors are on tap. To top it all off, Grist is dog-friendly, so you can bring your furry friend along for the fun.

Chatfield State Park

Highlands Ranch borders the eastern edge of Chatfield State Park, making it the perfect place to enjoy the best of Colorado’s great outdoors. The star of the show is the Chatfield Reservoir, a 1,423-acre surface area lake that’s a popular destination for boating, fishing, paddleboarding, and swimming. If aquatic activities aren’t your thing, don’t worry: Chatfield is also home to four campgrounds and 26 miles of trails perfect for hiking, climbing, and even horseback riding.

The Hudson Gardens & Event Center

Located just 15 minutes from Highlands Ranch in nearby Littleton, the Hudson Gardens & Event Center encompasses 30 acres of garden trails, exhibits, and event venues. It’s open 365 days a year, rain or shine, and admission to the garden is always free. You can take a self-guided art tour,  join a bird walk,  or bring your mat for a garden yoga class. Keep an eye on the event calendar to learn about upcoming events like art shows, gardening classes, and seasonal exhibits. Whatever you do, make time to stop and smell the roses at the Hudson rose garden during your visit.

West Fork Disc Golf Course

The West Fork Disc Golf Course was completed in 2020, and it quickly became a must-visit attraction for everyone from disc golf amateurs to enthusiasts. The course is open daily from 6 am to dusk, and reservations aren’t required, so you can grab some friends and get a drop-in game going. If you haven’t played disc golf before, all you need to know is that it’s played the same as traditional golf, except with a disc (or Frisbee) instead of a golf club. It’s easy to learn, and accessible to all fitness levels.

These are just a few of the many attractions you can enjoy when you live at Legacy at Highlands Ranch. Ready to find your new home? Contact us to get started.
